The zip-up Nizza Hi has returned for this season, thanks to the team at adidas Originals. This unique take on the classic shoe originally came as a part of the Five-Two 3 pack, but has been redesigned in four colorways, all of which are available at an Originals retailer near you now.

Rather than mix in too many colors and disturb the lines of the Nizza Hi’s silhouette, single color blocking is used. The uppers are constructed with a synthetic material and come in grey, navy blue, red and black. On the heel, a zipper stretches from the collar to the sole, allowing you to put them on or take them off without ever touching the laces.

The adidas Nizza High has been gaining a lot of attention recently. During the summer we saw what Mark Gonzales did with the silhouette. Now, adidas has dropped another two Nizza Highs. The first one pictured here comes in an almost entirely white colorway with very few black accents. The second pair we’re reporting on comes in a military green colorway and has some gum material accents near the toe box and sole.

If your local adidas retailers don’t have these in stock, you can definitely try your luck with certain online retailers that might have you covered- but for how long no one knows.

The latest iteration of the adidas Originals Nizza Hi features these two plaid styles. A traditional red/black version comes in black leather alongside a tonal gray leather with gray plaid style as well. Available now at styles as well as upcoming at select adidas Originals dealers.

The Drawings Pack was inspired by using different artistic styles to re-interpret the characteristics of each classic silhouette. The pack explores the way that various artistic techniques can be utilised to create varied and highly differentiated, stylistic looks. Different techniques explored within the pack include ink, print, crosshatching and silver etching. Familiar footwear with a leftfield revision, these are a fearless shock-to-the-system that celebrates these definitive creations perfectly.

Superstar
The Superstar Vintage needs little introduction, still amassing appeal after nearly 40 years, and this slim, smoother shelled, low-profile favourite carries a fragmented silver etching effect on a matt-effect leather, illustrating, rather than stitching the 3-Stripes for a more streamlined appearance, and distressing the legendary ‘SUPERSTAR’ lettering.

Stan Smith
Intelligently bridging the gap between the Stan Smith Vintage’s much-loved minimalism and heavy detailing, a subtle mix of black and brown on the upper is complmented by a handicraft style, multicoloured embroidery around the trademark perforations and a white paint effect print on the stitching and eyelets to exaggerate this element, making for a distinctive reinterpretation of this bestseller.

Samba
Pared down to a ‘one piece’ look, every well-known detail of the legendary Samba training shoe has been rendered in a ‘sketched’ crosshatched pen and ink print on an off-white leather, down to the forked forefoot panel, tongue branding, embossed lettering and sockliner.

Nizza
Since its 70s introduction, the Nizza has crossed cultures, reflecting ensuing eras and absorbing a plethora of legendary looks. For this mid-cut, vulcanized addition to the pack, the familiar canvas upper becomes an artist’s canvas of bold ‘pop art’, depicting each panel and 3-Stripes in strong shades, with corresponding metal eyelets, red foxing and an appropriately illustrated sockliner.

Forum
The most recent design in the five-two 3 range gets stripped down to bare basics without any compromise, with a pared-down white upper, decorated with a black brushstroke look that incorporates every last detail of this hi-top early 80’s court titan. Even the toebox perforations and sockliner are re-applied for a look that marries abstraction with timeless technical basketball prowess.

Mark Gonzales revamps the throwback Nizza Hi, first introduced in the 70’s. The tough white canvas upper and embroidered tongue patch are detailed sparingly with The Gonz’ now iconic artwork.

The three blue stripes offset an otherwise all-white sneaker. Vulcanized gum rubber outsole. Good for skating or just posting up.

The Mark Gonzales x adidas Nizza Hi is now available at select adidas retailers including Concepts 37 Brattle St. location.

The 15th anniversary of the Diesel-headed 55DSL has resulted in a series of different colalborations for the brand. Having seen Diesel and adidas partner up on a line of denim, 55DSL reaps the benefits of the relationship with this adidas Originals Nizza.

The shoe’s simple canvas upper is adorned with trademark 55DSL colorways including blue and red with the package completed via a handful of different lace choices. The shoe will release at the 55DSL store in Tokyo on August 29th.

As part of the adidas Fall 2009 Collection comes the Nizza Hi Zip. The sneaker features a black canvas upper with a couple of brown accents on the logo tags and piping. The three stripes come in the form of zippers in different neon colors. You can pick your pair up from Atmos Japan. Shamon!
