Jordan Brand offers us a closer look into their upcoming Fusion 13 series, which includes two original colorways of the Air Jordan XIII meshed with the features of Nike’s Air Force 1 silhouette. Both White/Black/Red and Black/Red versions look to release this Holiday season, with the latter dropping in December 2009 and its counterpart (White) releasing on November 21st, 2009.

Pictures have surfaced of the Air Jordan Force Fusion XIII (13) in white/black/varsity red, but now we are treated to images of the Air Jordan Force XIII (13) in black/varsity red.

The Jordan Brand continues to merge popular Air Jordan silhouettes with the Air Force one. The result are two iconic shoes forged into one. This fusion takes many cues from the Air Jordan XIII (13), with the hologram being the most noticeable. No word on a release date, but stay tuned.

The Air Jordan Force Fusion XIII might be the most controversial offering yet from the often-maligned Fusion series, and that’s saying something. While some Air Jordans make for a more seamless transition to the Air Force 1 midsole, this version seems to be forcing the issue a little more than some of the others.

One of the key factors that made the original Air Jordan XIII such a special shoe was the design’s flowing lines and shapes. While some of that translates nicely onto the upper of the AJF XIII, things seem to get a little awkward down towards the midsole.

As with all sneakers, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to the pro-Fusion crowd, these may very well be embraced, but it’s looking like they might be a harder sell than usual to the Jordan purists or even those who are still on the fence.
