Tip off of the World Basketball Festival is only weeks away.  The Brazilian National Team will have this special colorway of the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse  to wear at the festivities in NYC in August and as the team battles for the World Championship in Turkey.  Stay tuned for updates about other special Federation colorways of the Nike Hyperfuse and the World Basketball Festival.

Nike is currently augmenting their presence in Japan with the opening of the Harajuku location in Tokyo. To accompany this store’s opening, Nike commissioned two of Japan’s premier athletes to create their own color-up of a Nike silhouette.

Yu Darvish, the adolescent pitching prodigy, worked on the Trainer 1 AP, while Yuta Tabuse, the first Japanese basketball player to make it to the NBA, took to the Air Zoom Brave III. The Trainer possesses a white, silver, blue, and yellow upper, while the Brave III is wrapped in various golden materials.These sneakers debuted at the Harajuku store’s opening on this past Saturday, November 14th. From December 2008 up until now, we have seen almost every colorway you can think of on the Nike Zoom Kobe IV. It was obviously one of the most innovative sneakers ever produced from Nike Basketball, and it was well-received by both basketball players and non-basketball players (it was voted Best Signature Sneaker in our Kicks On Court Awards).

However, there comes a point in time when the average sneaker enthusiasts wants to see something different. Therefore, Nike has answered our cries by confirming the upcoming Nike Zoom Kobe V sneaker.

On December 26th, 2009, Nike will unleash the first colorway of the Kobe V dubbed the “Chaos”. If you recall, Nike unveiled a “Chaos” colorway of the Kobe IV at the beginning of this year. This Kobe V possesses a multi-colored upper consisting of foil-like side panels, a lime-colored swoosh, red/black shoelaces, a purple patent leather toe area and a heel panel and toe area of the same color.

It is also finished with a lime outsole and a white/red speckled midsole. As for the overall design, the Kobe V owns a similar, low-cut design of the Kobe IV, yet, its collar and heel panel section seems more fit for ankle support.

The Nike Air Zoom Brave line is getting an upgrade with the Nike Air Zoom Brave III. Traditionally, the Nike Air Zoom Brave, a decedent of the Zoom Uptempo V, was worn by Jason Kidd until he left Nike for PEAK. The Zoom Brave lives on though through the III. The Nike Air Zoom Brave III keeps the overall look and feel of the Zoom Brave line while adding Nike Lunar Foam in the forefoot and keeping Nike Zoom Air in the heel.

The Nike Air Zoom Brave has released overseas already in a Black/Yellow, White/Red, White/Yellow, and White/Black. The Nike Air Zoom Brave III should hit the US very soon.

Nike has added the Zoom Hustle to the mix of new sneaker designs for this basketball season. This shoe is inspired by the Air Hyperflight of 2001, yet, there aren’t many striking similarities between the two aside from the collar and vibrant sunshine yellow colorway.

The Zoom Hustle will be available in five colorways: three on the mid silhouette and two on the low silhouette. As for construction, these kicks are technically fit with a full-length Phylon midsole, a heel Zoom Air unit, and a synthetic leather upper. Expect plenty of Nike-sponsored NBA players to lace these up on the hardwood this season.

With all the hype surrounding the Air Max LeBron VII, it’s hard to believe Nike has time to push and design more LBJ products, but that’s just what they’ve done with the Zoom LBJ Ambassador II. If you recall from the last time we covered this silhouette, we learned it was designed as an “anti-VII,” releasing as a cheaper alternative sneaker in the Asia market.

We had a look at this next Nike Zoom LBJ Ambassador II months ago with only one picture, but now we have detailed shots. It also doesn’t look destined to come stateside, though it borrows its colorway from LeBron’s Ohio high school. A green XDR outsole matches up with the collar and tongue, while gold accents throughout complete the color-up. Multiple LBJ logos appear throughout, including the tongue, upper and “King James” on the heels.

Nike Sportswear worked with Lance Armstrong to create a Zoom Tiempo inspired by Lance’s hometown of Austin, Texas. The Air Zoom Tiempo TZ draws inspiration directly from the cyclists of Austin and one of the city’s most iconic cycling stores, Mellow Johnny’s.

The shoe also draws inspiration from the art bikes created to help raise funds and awareness for the Lance Armstrong Foundation this Summer. Finally, it takes the iconic LIVESTRONG yellow and integrates it throughout the design of the shoe.

Highlighted features include: Soft premium oiled leather with aggressive anti-abrasive materials, black contrast stitching, “Texas” and “Austin” shoe heel details, contrasting yellow and black sockliners, and Starks shoe laces with black tips.

The Air Zoom Tiempo Austin Texas will be available at select Nike Sportswear retailers (Mellow Johnny’s and 21 Mercer) on October 24th, 2009. Its re-introduction in the global market, together along with the other three shoes collaborated with cyclists from Paris, Berlin and San Francisco is scheduled in early November.

Yi Jianlian isn’t exactly Yao Ming. Yi Jianlian isn’t anywhere close in fact, but when you’re one of two players from a nation of more than one billion people to play in the NBA, you’re big time enough to get your own PE. And that’s just what Nike’s done for New Jersey Nets power forward with this Nike Zoom Skyposite.

We’ve seen the Skyposite in a number of colorways, varying from a simple black carbon fiber color-up to a lime green “Kryptonate” take, but this PE may be the cleanest attempt yet. These feature a pearl white carbon fiber upper with a navy blue midsole, Swoosh and liner. These colors, of course, come straight from the Nets’ uniforms. No word on a worldwide release just yet, but don’t be surprised if these become available as a China-only exclusive, and definitely be on the lookout for him in these come Kicks on Court.

Previewed earlier in the year, Nike ACG’s Tallac Lite sees a release in two new colorways for the Fall/Winter season. Boasting a versatile design capable of handing both outdoors activities and everyday wear, the Tallac features a variety of technical aspects, including: expert traction in an eco-friendly design, Considered Design for product performance .

In February of 2010, Nike will debut the Zoom Flip’n. This basketball shoe is obviously based upon the Nike Air Max Pippen 1. Technically, this sneaker is ball-ready with its heel-only air unit and full-length Phylon midsole.

An all-black colorway will drop in February 2010 and then the Black/Varsity Red/White and White/Metallic Gold-Black versions will follow with March release dates. Each make-up will retail at $129.95.
