Reebok has released a slew of Pump Omni Lite and Insta Pump Fury colorways over the years; however, this “Respect” Pack, which includes a new colorway of each model, is one of the better sneaker groupings from Reebok in awhile. The color scheme of both sneakers pays tribute to Michael Chang’s Court Victory Pumps.

The Insta Pump Fury  comes in an intriguing yellow construction with a green checkerboard pattern throughout the midfoot area. The same pattern is seen on the Pump Omni Lite’s side panels and inner side of the tongue. Look for this Reebok “Respect” Pack to hit stateside Reebok retailers soon.

This retro release of the Reebok Stomper has special meaning. The Visual Countermeasures Project was involved in the design of this limited release. The VCMP is an anti-”Big Brother” agency in London that is against the expansion of citizen-monitoring actions by British authorities.

This retro is available now exclusively through hanon-shop. Quantities are limited to only 54 pairs. The shoe uses Scotchlite reflective material (similar to the 3M material we see often) for the entire upper, including both of the straps that zip over the midfoot region. It may seem strange to use a shoe as a medium through which to promote such a hot-topic issue, but nonetheless, many older sneakerheads are sure to be pleased at the release of this retro shoe. “Form follows function” has long been the golden rule of design. The Reebok ZigTech has proven that the policy applies to sneaker, too. The wave-inspired sole was met by a lot of readers wondering what the story behind the look was. Today, Reebok officially unveiled the technology with an explanation for the styling.

“Traditional energy return is focused only on the vertical impact of the heel strike,” said Reebok’s Head of Advanced Innovation, Bill McInnis, in a press release. “In contrast, ZigTech is designed to transfer energy horizontally along the zigs so the athlete gets that energy back in the forefoot.” Clearly, the ZigTech is designed for performance more than casual wear. Reebok claims the technology results in 20% less wear and tear on leg muscles like the shins and hamstrings. While the style may have to grow on you over time, it sounds like a lot of time and thought was put into the technology behind it. The first pairs go on sale March 11th for $100.

2010 marks the beginning of the Chinese “Year of the Tiger.” We can expect a number of releases to honor the occasion such as the above pack from Reebok. The Insta Pump Fury comes in a very bold red tiger stripe, while the Pump Omni Lite comes in a subtler black on black tiger. Each shoe features strong gold accents and is now available from mita sneakers.

Yesterday afternoon a tearful and emotional Allen Iverson spoke about his return to Philly and to the game where he will take the court Monday. Releasing this weekend is the return of the Reebok Question, the shoe AI wore during his rookie year with the 76ers in the 1996-97 season.

Besides the comfortable fit and unique look, Iverson’s Rookie of the Year performance made the shoe an instant classic when he averaged 23.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists at the age of 21.

You didn’t think that Reebok was only going to allow retailers to collaborate on their prized The Pump silhouette did you? With the release of those special Pump 20 collaborations looming, we get a look at another Reebok sneaker designed by Japan’s X-LARGE.

These Pump Omni Lite feature a mix of black and white, with a few panels that feature both colors. The forefoot and midfoot are done up with white leather, white the heel area uses black nubuck and leather. “XL” and “Reebok” both appear in different shades of blue embroidery. The most unique feature on these is, without a doubt, the gradient plastic lace holders darting up the sides, which fade black and white together.

One of the bigger names to immune to any sort of preview or unveiling till now has been Alife Rivington Club as we take a look at their participation in this year’s Pump 20. No strangers to the Reebok Pump, A.R.C. drops a light-colored offering in suede form. A logo is seen towards the flex portions of the front as well as hints of a gum sole peeking out at the front and heel portions of the outsole.

HUF unveil its version of the classic Reebok PUMP, made for the brand’s 20th Anniversary of the revolutionary sneaker. The kicks follow a simple navy blue colorway with a hit of yellow and white details. A release is expected for this Friday, November 20th, 2009 at the HUF Flagship store on Hayes St. with only 31 pairs available.

Keep our beaches and water clean for the sake of our ecosystem for generations to come.

In designing our PUMP 20, we took the iconic Pump’s size (a true hi-top shoe) as an symbol for a big wave-one that you might see at any one of Hawaii’s world renowned surf breaks. The outsole is tan to represent the ocean sand bed. The midsole is the white caps of the waves breaking on the shore-with the blue splatter as sea spray; the upper consists of a deep sea blue to a free-dive blue to symbolize the depths of the ocean; with the tongue acting as the wave’s crest, and the Pump ball representing the sun on a perfect day at the beach.”

Hypebeast blogger and instrumental Patta member Masta Lee gives up a preview of Patta’s upcoming effort within Reebok’s PUMP 20 campaign. Quite possibly one of the cleanest designs leaked from the project, the kicks pair a full grain leather upper with nubuck, mesh, lava orange highlights and white/gum outsoles.
