It has been stated that Philly has some of the most passionate fans when it comes to sports. With that said, you Philly fans should be backing your hometown Phillies more than ever after last season’s World Series loss. In an attempt to help you flaunt your Philly pride, Vans has designed a Chukka LX “Philadelphia Phillies”.

This Vans Vault Chukka LX coincides perfectly with the Phillies’ jerseys as it contains a mainly grey suede upper with multiple red hints seen along the midfoot area, on the tongue and inner lining. In addition, this shoe possesses the Phillies ‘P’ logo on the heel in red and is equipped with white shoelaces and a white, vulcanized rubber sole. This particular shoe, which will be sold with a complimentary limited edition Majestic Authentic Jersey, will be available exclusively at UBIQ in Philadelphia on April 12th at 11Am. Vans linked up with Knoll Textiles to release a Mountain Edition LX collaboration. The shoes adorn a mostly olive leather upper with a tan stripe across the lateral and medial heel. Separating the sides is a black tongue that is crisscrossed with black waxed laces.

Crooks & Castles and Vans have hooked up once again to release a new Vans sneaker that is scheduled to drop exclusively at the two Crooks & Castles’ stores in Los Angeles, California this Friday, February 12th.

The two brands worked together to create a Black Epi Leather upper Vans Chukka Boot that is accented with Crooks & Castles branding and a clean White outsole. Another pair that also uses the Black Epi Leather should be hitting in the following months.

This year, we have seen a lot of brands borrow the “Gucci” color scheme for some of their classic sneakers. However, Vans decides to go in the opposite direction and apply a color design that is most associated with Louis Vuitton.

Vans used the Sk8-Hi and the V2041 Hi for the highly-detailed “Chocolate Check” Pack. The SK8-Hi features the Louis Vuitton checkered bag design throughout the side panels and collar area, while the V2041 showcases the aforementioned design on the toe box also. The rest of the sneaker is finished with brown patent leather and a white vulcanized sole. Other features include a gold plated Vans logo on the tongue, brown shoelaces and minimal red accents on the upper. Available now at ABC-Mart.

After numerous previews we can finally give you a detailed look at the Deluxe x Vans Chukka for Holiday 2009. The sneaker comes in a navy leather/suede colorway with white outer sole and a light brown stripe on the heel, matching the leather lining. It will be released on November 8th.

Categorized from gritty to even grotesque, Robert Dennis Crumb’s, or better known as R. Crumb, edgy comics dealing with American culture are both critical and humorous.  His satirical (and funny) point of view on the true reality of everyday lives have made him a sort of icon among members of sub-culture.

Now a member of modern Americana, VANS co-created a limited collection of footwear based on R. Crumb popular caricatures, including Mr. Natural – in VANS SK8-Hi form, and Frtiz the Cat, as a slip-on edition.  Part of the VANS Fall-Winter 2009 season, both are currently available at selected VANS dealers, including colette of Paris.

In mid-June, we showed you the upcoming Vans Mid Skool ‘77 lineup in which many of you did not show a lot of interest in. However, for some, it is a quick break from the numerous Old Skool colorways we see on a regular basis. With that said, Vans has released the sky blue colorway of the Mid Skool ‘77 on its online store.

It features an all-suede, sky blue upper with minimal white details on the side panels (Vans stripe logo), tongue, shoelaces and heel panel. To coincide with the white details, this shoe also contains a traditional white rubber sole. This shoe, along with the previously mentioned colorways, is now available at Vans’s online store for $55.

Silas and Vans are hooking up once again on an upcoming SK-8 HI. The high-top model features a repeating pattern along the side with a black upper.
Contrast comes courtesy of red laces and a red stripe along the foxing band. Available starting August 19th at select Silas dealers.

Vans got together again with Japanese retailer Flauge to collaborate on two sneakers – the Sk8 Hi and the Era. Both sneakers come in classic navy/yellow colorways, witht he Era also feturing the iconic Vans checker pattern. Look out for a release in the near future.

The strong favorite skating brand, VANS, gives the grown up skate boys something to don with the Vans Vault collection which taps into classic silhouettes and more sophisticated material. Just released in the much loved Sk8 Hi is the Sk8 Hi Lx done up in leather embossed in a reptile print.
