Following up on the recent animated trailer, we get a closer look into the latest project between popular Dutch artist/illustrator Parra and Converse. Part of the (RED) campaign, the shoes feature a beige suede upper with Parra’s cherry character immortalized in an embroidered all-over motif. Look out for a release soon through finer Converse accounts, including Limited Edt Chamber in Singapore.

Following the Converse Skateboarding Lineup we showed you in mid-July, we now have learned of a special release from the line for pro skater Kenny Anderson. This Star Player  was designed specifically for the aforementioned skater and possesses his name on the inner side of the tongue.

As for the sneaker’s design cues, navy blue suede is offset by white contrast stitching throughout the upper. Other features include a white Converse chevron logo on the side panels, white laces and a white, vulcanized rubber sole (black piping). Now available at DQM.

Bold colors, rhymes and the funny characters that Dr. Seuss made famous are boldly displayed on Chuck Taylor All Star shoes. With some styles looking as if they themselves are straight out of Dr. Seuss-ville, this collection is bound to inspire the dreams of children young and old.

Available from toddler to adult sizes the Converse Dr. Seuss collection will be available to Seuss fans young and old.  The entire collection is available now online at Converse.com ranging in price from $35 – $65.

If you’re looking to get nautical this Summer, this may be the perfect shoe for you. The Converse Jack Purcell has been seen in a never-ending amount of builds and colors, but this Sailcloth pair may be the best yet.

The upper is made of the namesake sailcloth woven together. The pieces that run horizontally show a white stripe in between two navy blue ones, while the vertically-running strips show navy blue boxes filled with white. A white vulcanized sole and toe cap sit underneath the special upper. Metal eyelets finish off these special Converses, which can be found now at select retailers, including SneakersNStuff.

When a product is selling for a charitable cause, it’s often the only reason it’s selling. Somehow Converse has been able to avoid that trend with its Product(Red) releases though, as they’ve put out some pretty nice designs out. They even had success pairing with heavyweight HUF on the Skidgrip. This next design, a Chuck Taylor AS OX, is also beneficial to charity and is a nice design for a classic silhouette.

These feature an all grey suede upper with a matching vulcanized sole. The real design feature to make note of is the leopard print inside. Like all of the Product(Red) releases we see, the top eyelet is red, denoting its charitable nature. These are available online now.

Converse continues its ongoing 1HUND(RED) campaign by now hooking up with designer Terence Koh for a very unique collaboration.

It’s obvious that both sides wanted to keep this design very simple to say the least. “I wanted to keep the DNA of the Chuck Taylor intact, while reducing the seams, and smoothing out the shoe’s surface as much as possible,” said Koh.

This Chuck Taylor possesses some very unique features including a seamless upper and a vertical construction which gives the sneaker a square-like shape at the collar area. Its all-white leather base is accompanied by matching premium leather shoelaces. Look for this sneaker to release on November 21st, 2009 at select retailers, namely Opening Ceremony New York and LA for $150.

Although most of the US readers will cringe at the fact that these won’t release in the states, Japan does an excellent job yet again, previewing its latest set of footwear for November. Highlighting the collection are new renditions of the timeless Chuck Taylor Hi and Low, Jack Purcell Hi and Low, and a set of One Stars. All feature themes related to the Winter season with a clever choice of patterns and material options.

Converse signed power forward Elton Brand to a sneaker contract at the beginning of the 2008-09 NBA season. However, Brand was unable to play a lot of games in his then newly-designed Converse EB1 due to an injury. This year, barring any injury, Brand will be lacing up his second signature sneaker dubbed the Converse EB2.

As stated in out previous posts about the EB2, it contains distinctive features that are different from the EB1. The EB2 possesses a non-velcro, two-strap design across the same area. Logos are also featured, namely the Converse logo (side panel) and the Elton Brand logo (collar area).

After Ian Ginoza, Staple and Huf, Blends is the next partner of the Converse 1HUND(RED) Artist Project. Blends and Converse collaborated to create a special (RED) edition of the original One Star shoe.

Blends co-founder Tak Kato says “The Blends One Star came from the idea of keeping it simple and minimal. We decided not to make a literal connection to (RED) with color or logos, but instead we wanted to create something that was consistent with the aesthetic of Blends and our clientele, which is ultimately about timelessness and quality.

These are the aspects that we feel will ultimately encourage people to buy the sneaker even if they don’t know that potential for change that it holds.” Also, playing off the fact that the original Ones Star was a high-quality shoe for its time, Blends wanted to make this shoe ultra-high quality, by giving it premium, soft deer skin and paying attention to details without making something overly designed.

The Blends for Converse 1HUND RED Artists One Star is available in a low-top, black leather version. The shoe will launch at special events at each store from 7pm – 10pm at Blends in San Diego on Thursday October 22, Blends in Costa Mesa Friday October 23rd and Blends in Downtown Los Angeles on October 24th. It will also be available at select retailers globally after October 24th.

A new collection of Converse’s fabled Chuck Taylor All Star will hit Foot Locker mid next month as the legendary basketball sneaker gets an official revamping. The two part upper features a thick insulated collar area. In addition, a more aggressive outsole has been added.

The two-part collection is part of Converse’s recent “Always On” campaign which focuses on the All Star’s storied musical history. The shoes will hit retailers on November 15th, 2009.
